While secular education is certainly important (we all have to make a living in some manner), being educated biblically is far more important because biblical principles teach us how to properly relate to God as well as to our fellowman (Matthew 22:37-40; cf. Deuteronomy 6:5; Deuteronomy 10:12; Deuteronomy 30:6). The teaching of spiritual and moral values to children is the backbone of any nation and provides nations with moral stability.
How important is biblical education? From a study of God’s Word, we see that when Israel rejected the knowledge of God, God rejected them (Hosea 4:1,6). Our country is well on its way to rejecting God (taking God’s teaching out of our homes, schools and government and replacing it with humanistic ideologies). Do we really believe that God will not reject our country as well?
Biblical instruction and education begins in the home (Ephesians 6:4; cf. Genesis 18:18-19; Deuteronomy 6; 2 Timothy 1:5; 2 Timothy 3:14-15). Other than our public schools, the only source of education many of our children receive in this country, comes from television, and the majority of that education is ungodly and perverted.
With the above thoughts in mind, the following are three excellent articles by faithful brethren regarding the spiritual education of our children:
1) My People Are Destroyed For Lack Of Knowledge
2) Fortifying the Faith of Our Children
3) The Threat Of Evolution To Christian Education
The future of our country rests on the biblical education our children receive (Psalm 33:12; Proverbs 14:34). May God help us as fathers to see that this great need is supplied before it is too late.
7 Feasts of the Lord Biblical Teacher
7 Feasts of the Lord offers the "7 Feasts of the Lord" biblical teacher a Sunday School Class Lesson Plan, a Syllabus and supporting files including in-depth Historical, Etymological, Eschatological and Hermeneutical studies of: The Feast of Passover, Feast of Unleavened Bread, Feast of First Fruits (Easter), Feast of Pentecost, Feast of Trumpets, Feast of Atonement and the Feast of Tabernacles. Plus, a syllabus on the biblical feasts of Israel per Leviticus 23 and secondary support files on biblical education topics such as pre-tribulation rapture, pre-wrath rapture and eschatology hermeneutics.
The Etymology of the Hebrew word translated "Feasts” means Solemn Appointed Times; such as the fulfilled prophecies and typologies related to the first 4 Appointed TIMES with God during the Feasts of Passover, Unleavened Bread, First Fruits aka Easter, and the Feast of Weeks aka Pentecost at Jesus' first coming.
Jesus' Parousia also relates to the next 2 Feasts of Trumpets and Atonement and Tabernacles:
The 7 Feasts of the Lord form the Foundation of Prophecy and Eschatology Hermeneutics which include the Typology and prophecy fulfilled by the 1st 4 Feasts of Passover, Unleavened Bread, First Fruits aka Easter, and Feast of Weeks aka Pentecost, setting the stage for 2 of the last 3 Feasts of Trumpets and Feast of Atonement, culminating with the "Year of Jubilee" aka the "Millennial Kingdom" to complete all prophecy related to the "End of the Age" (End of THIS Age), with the Feast of Tabernacles fulfillment of prophecy completed much latter after the Millennial Kingdom.
